Start Page
The StartPage search model works by removing the information tying the submitted search criteria to the person or device submitted the search and replacing it with their own. This strategy truly anonymizes the submitted search. The search is then submitted to Google. When the search result is returned it is passed back to the search originator. The ads returned are based only on the submitted search criteria and not a behavioral profile created over multiple searches. StartPage does not retain any information to profile searchers.
