Authoritative Modifying of Member Details
The Chieftan can modify any Member details. Unlike in the case of a member modifying their own details, the Chieftan's view of the main screen provides an "Edit" button for every member.
Simply selecting the edit button of the intended member will bring the Chieftain a slightly different "Edit Member" screen that that seen by the members themselves that is more like the "Add Member screen.
Field Definitions
The fields for creating a new member are fairly self explanatory and not all fields are required. a red asterisk (*) to the right of a field indicates it is mandatory.
When all required and desired fields have data click "Add New Member" to continue.

| Tribe Role | This is a minimally implemented function of the software to empower members with different capabilities depending on their role. Currently "Chief" and "Member" are supported. |
| Requested Login | Any unique string of characters to be used as the Tribe login for this new member. |
| Member password | The password this new tribe member will use to log into Fautore. Be aware, Fautore passwords currently show as clear text (not obscured) on the screen and are unencrypted in the database. Do not use a password commonly used for other purposes in the Fautore environment. |
| Member first name | The actual first name of this person being added to the tribe. |
| Member last name | The surname of the person being added to the tribe. |
| Member Email | Email address outside Fautore for use should the member need to be contacted in this manner for some reason. |
| Member Self Description | Self description to make one's self recognizable. Useful for remote tribe requests. |
| Avatar (small picture) | This image will appear as a member representation in both local and remote OCE's (tribes). |
| Chieftain Member Comments | Managing Fautore member thoughts about the member. Examples might be "delete after project completes on 7/22," or "Unsuspend account when back from vacation" type messages. Text in this field like "Member is a pain in the ass" is not encouraged, at least not until the screen and data security profiles are matured a bit more. ;^) |
| Default App | Select a registered application to act as the recipient of incoming information if no other application is applicable. |
Coterie Selection
Coteries are working areas of the Fautore environment. The Coterie selection section allows for the adjusting of Member Coterie membership. See the Coterie documentation for more details on Coterie operations.
Selected
Mark the checkbox for any Coteries this new member will be able to access. Any Coterie accessible to the tribe member adding the user can be assigned to the new member.
Default for email
This functionality is still in development. Best to leave the default.
Member Deletion
Members are deleted by typing "Yes" in the member deletion field that appears at the bottom of the "Edit Member Details" page when accessed by the Chieftain.
Saving
Click the "Update Member details" button at any time to save entered values. Clicking "Back To Member Menu" will leave the "Edit Member Details" screen without saving the changes.
