Fautore Groups
Fautore Groups provide the capability of creating collections of tribe members that are then used to route communications based on tribal rules. Rules can be defined to send messages from one source to one or more individual recipients, but that would be tedious to configure and use when there are numerous recipients. The "Groups" function of Fautore solves this by supporting the predifined collection of tribal participants that can be referenced from a single label.
Ownership
Only Coterie Chieftains can create and manage groups.
Organization
Groups are defined within Coteries. This allows for the ability of one chieftain to manage groups without impacting the groups and rules of another chieftain.
Additional Consideration
- Should there be a set of "Tribal Groups" that are available by default to everyone?
- Should tribal groups be those existing in the "Default Coterie?"
- This would in effect setup the complexities of a coterie hierarchy with all other coteries being considered under the default coterie
- Should tribal groups be defined outside of any coterie and tied directly to the User's table?
- Possibly signified by having to coterie defined in the "Groups" table.
- This could begin to erode the the coterie structure right from the beginning.
- Should tribal groups be those existing in the "Default Coterie?"
Usage Permissions
There are several permissions considerations for using Fautore groups.
Coterie groups
There are two ways a tribe member can send a message into a Coterie group.
- The tribe member is the Chief for the Coterie of the group
- The tribe member has been given explicite permission to use the group
Tribe groups
Groups created outside a Coterie are consider public to local members under the following terms
- A tribe member can be prohibited from send messages to a group
